Lesson Plan: Sentencing Guidelines

This lesson introduces students to the basic components of sentencing and provides examples of sentences. Sentencing is a very important phase of the court process. Judges and juries must follow the guidelines set forth by law and precedent to ensure that due process is served on those convicted of crimes.
